Axis is the student ministry supported by New Joy Church. Axis exists to encourage young people to follow Christ and to experience a revolutionary change in their minds, hearts, and world.

Axis is for students in grades 6-12 and we meet twice a week. On Sundays we meet at 9-10am in the Axis Rooms to explore what faith in Jesus means, and how He might change our lives. The group leaders may have games, videos, and other activities that will help us to understand God’s ways.

On Wednesdays from 6:45-8:30pm, we meet and include many of the same elements of the Sunday morning gatherings, but we feature more hangout and recreation time.

Core Vision

AXiS Student Ministry exists to cultivate a revolutionary culture where it is okay to fail, to be vulnerable and to seek God’s change; a place that encourages students to use their gifts to build the Kingdom and grow in who they are in Christ.

An Intersection that Points to the Living God!

We Exist To...

1.     Lead students to the Perfect Axis (Jesus Christ)

John 3:16; John 10:10; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Doing anything, short of sin, to reach this generation for the sake of Christ!

2.     Encourage students to draw near to the Perfect Axis

James 4:7-10; Mark 8:34-35

Encouraging them to be in relentless pursuit of the Father!

3.     Inspire students to reach out from the Perfect Axis

Matthew 28:18-20

Show them that they are a part of a greater story and they have purpose!

What Is AXIS?

Definition of AXIS

1: a straight line about which a body or a geometric figure rotates or may be supposed to rotate b: a straight line with respect to which a body or figure is symmetrical —called also axis of symmetry

2: a main line of direction, motion, growth, or extension

3: a point or continuum on which something centers

We believe that Jesus Christ is our perfect Axis (Perfect Line of Reference) that we are drawn to and center our lives around.  He is the one who truly gives us direction, motion & growth.  By drawing near to Christ, our lives begin to revolve around His perfect truth and reach out from that place into the world.
